Carlisle Castle (1868)

A quarter plate negative. A starboard side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Carlisle Castle (1868) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and no royals. Her royal masts are fidded. She has a dark painted hull and figurehead. Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the background. A copy of whole plate negative number G2253.
