Prince (1859)
A quarter plate negative. A port near broadside view, taken from just forward of the beam, of the wood paddle tug Prince (1859) at anchor in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. A ketch rigged vessel is alongside her starboard side. A Gould copy of a Gould whole plate negative number G1806. The emulsion of the original whole plate negative G1806 peeled off and the negative has been discarded. A 10x8 safety film negative has been produced by the NMM from a 12x10 photographic print made in the 1950s from the original negative.
