Winefred (1855)
A quarter plate negative. A slightly distant port broadside view of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Winefred (1855) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She has double topsails, single topgallants and royals. A canvas windsail ventilator is rigged and she has a large number of passengers on board. The Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) is on the Tilbury shore in the left background. A Gould copy of a Gould whole plate negative that has not survived.
