Rothesay (1957)

A whole plate negative. On board the Royal Navy frigate Rothesay (1957) in the fitting out berth of Yarrow & Co Ltd at Scotstoun, Glasgow. In the crew's mess near the aft end of 3 deck. The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side showing three mess tables with cushioned stools, settee bunks on the right, kit lockers on the left and at the end of the compartment, an electric fire on a stanchion, hammock rails fixed to the deckhead and the watertight hatch leading down to the victualling gear store, provision room and medical store.
