Rothesay (1957)

A whole plate negative. On board the Royal Navy frigate Rothesay (1957) in the fitting out berth of Yarrow & Co Ltd at Scotstoun, Glasgow. The conversion machinery room between stations 31 and 35½ on the starboard side of 3 deck. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from near the doorway. On the right is No. 2 12 volt battery with a first aid box. In the centre are two motor generators and on the aft bulkhead are the control boards and rectifier units for these generators. On the starboard side bulkhead (on the left) is a large rectifier unit and two searchlight rectifiers made by the Westinghouse Brake & Signal Co Ltd.
