A starboard bow view of the Anchor Line cruise ship Caledonia (1925) at anchor in the river at Rangoon. Both of her anchors are deployed and an accommodation ladder is rigged at a starboard side shell door. A mass of local craft are tied up alongside her starboard quarter. The negative is captioned 'At Rangoon'.
Caledonia began seasonal cruises from 1930 to September 1939 when she was converted to an Armed Merchant Cruiser and renamed HMS Scotstoun.
The pencilled caption on the original negative envelope states "at Bangkok", which is incorrect.
