A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the junior rates mess on 3 deck between 19 and 23 stations. The photographer is looking aft from to starboard of the centreline of the mess showing a row of kit lockers beyond a stack of suitcase lockers on the left and a 3 tier bunk unit on the right. A transformer is alongside the cable trunk on the aft bulkhead 23. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
