A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the watchkeepers' sleeping annexe on the starboard side of 3 deck between 62½ and 68 stations. The photographer is looking aft from the starboard side of the annexe showing a triple tier bunk unit in the left foreground rigged for sleeping and another is on the right. Beyond it is a two tier bunk unit rigged for sitting. Kit lockers are on the right and one is against the aft bulkhead with a fan ventilation unit above it. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
