A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the junior rates dining hall on the starboard side of 2 deck between 52 and 56 stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from near the pantry showing four folding tables, one semi-permanent table and five semi-permanent bench seats. On the forward bulkhead is a panoramic painting of an English country scene and an electric fire. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
