Rhyl (1959). In the C.P.Os mess on 2 deck.
A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the C.P.Os mess on the starboard side of 2 deck between 61½ and 67 stations. The photographer is looking aft and to starboard from the doorway on the port side of the mess showing the lounge area. A drinks cupboard is in the corner with settee benches on either side and a coffee table in front. In the corner close to the deckhead is a wooden board with the name 'Reel Inn' painted on it. On the aft bulkhead is a clock reading 10.48, a fan ventilation unit and a tannoy and a plaque with a white abstract pattern is on the top of the bench settee. A 'Take Courage' metal tray and some glasses are on the drinks cupboard. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
