A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the wheelhouse on 1 deck between stations 27½ and 29. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard from the doorway showing the wheel manufactured by Brown Bros. The wheel is tied in place with string and engine order telegraphs are to port and starboard of the wheel. The gyro, A.G.M.C. and rudder indicators are on the forward bulkhead. The scuttle is open. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
