A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the passageway on 2 deck between stations 58 and 80 looking aft through three open watertight doors to the dock buildings beyond the stern. In the left foreground is a watertight hatch leading down to 3 deck and beyond it are a large double doored cabinet, fire extinguishers and a fire hose storage point. On the right are more fire hose storage points and an automatic emergency lantern. Two men are working in an alcove. Two tannoys are under the deckhead in the foreground. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972. A vertical format negative.
