A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the galley preparing space on the port side of 4 deck between 33 and 39 stations looking into the corner of the area. A cupboard with a sailor's cap on it and a hatch behind it is on the left and a framed notice re Electric cooking equipment instructions for use is on the bulkhead. The compartment door is in the corner with shelves on the right. The photographer has allocated the number 7 to this location. A vertical format negative.
