A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the main galley and servery on 4 deck between 30 and 39 stations looking aft showing an hotplate unit on the right and both plating counters and serving hatches in the background. The serving hatches rollers shutters are closed. The photographer has allocated the number 8 to this location. A vertical format negative.
