A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is on the centre of the hangar at 94 station on 3 deck looking to port. On the port hangar wall are an avcat fuel pump unit and hose, a first aid box, a NATO air panel, an HP/LP air panel and an HP air panel. The lift door operating rams are higher up the bulkhead and a large number of electrical connection boxes and valve handwheels are on the left.
