A 35mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the ground equipment storing and servicing area at the fore end of the hangar between 50 and 65 stations on 3 deck. He is looking to port and slightly aft showing storage racks with a work bench between them. A vice is on the work bench. On the left is a four door cupboard labelled 'Type "C" DC and A.P. 7178 EL.
