A 35 mm roll film negative. On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) alongside 6 and 7 wharves in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in early July 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in the port flight (1) deck walkway looking aft from 204 station. A firepoint and chemical foam locker are on the left and a spare ensign staff is on the right. A ladderway leading down to 2 deck and stairs leading up to the flight deck are in the centre. The submarine depot ship Forth (1938) is alongside 8 wharf in the background. A vertical format negative.
