A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the PO's mess between 73 and 78 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck. The photographer is looking aft and to port from the aft end of the mess showing the lounge area. A settee bench is against the aft bulkhead and there is a Benson & Hedges calendar for April 1972 and depicting the Albert Bridge between Battersea and Chelsea hanging above the bench. Another short bench with sliding door coat cupboards behind it is on the port side. Three tables and three stools made from beer firkins are in front of the benches.
