A roll film negative. On board the Tribal class type 81 frigate Mohawk (1962) in Portsmouth Dockyard. She was in a dry dock from 21 March to 11 April 1972 when she moved to the South Railway Jetty. In the main communication office between 41 and 45 stations on the port side of 2 deck. The photographer is looking forward from the aft end of the office showing the position of the rating in charge on the right. This station is fitted with a number of telephones and intercom equipment and a steel box with a combination lock is on the desk. Three operator's desks are on the left, the nearest two having Power Equipment Company Powquip teleprinters.
