On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in No. 1 naval store between 8 and 12½ stations on 3 deck looking aft to port from the starboard side at 8½ station showing C and D racks of drawers and shelves. Narrow shelves labelled A5, B5 and C5 are against the ship's side. A vertical format negative.
