The Type 12 frigate HMS Lowestoft (1960). The Mark 10 Limbo mortar well and quarterdeck between 67 and 80 stations on 2 deck.
On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is on the port side of the flight deck at 67 station looking aft from 1 deck showing the port side of the Mark 10 Limbo mortar well and the quarterdeck on 2 deck. An awning has been rigged over the quarterdeck.
