On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) in No. 3 basin at Chatham Dockyard near the end of her modernisation which commenced 15 March 1968 and finished 31 May 1970. She was in the basin throughout May 1970. The photographer is in the canteen between 18½ and 21 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 19 station showing a safe, a nest of drawers, shelves and a refrigerator under the counter. Among the items stored are cans of Coca-Cola, cartons of tobacco, Players cigarettes and various chocolate bars.
