On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 30⅔ and 41 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 38 station showing the door to the wardroom pantry, fuse panels, a stretcher locker, first aid cabinet and cable stowage brackets on the starboard side. A cupboard containing the emergency diesel generator is against the port side with a fuse panel, fire main connecting pipe and breathing apparatus cabinet and hose further forward. The watertight door in the bulkhead at 30⅔ station is closed but not clipped.
