On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the asdic hull outfit 15 compartment between 10 and 12½ stations on 4 deck looking forward on the port side showing the electric dome hoisting winch. Tools, eyebolts, strops and other equipment are fitted to the port side of the ship. Two Laurence-Scott Electromotors control gear units are against the forward bulkhead. The H.O. 15 compartment contains the Type 170B asdic. A vertical format negative.
