On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the No. 1 A/S mortar handing room between 67¼ and 71 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward from 70 station showing an oil tank and tube gauge against the ship's side on the left above the Hastie pump which is fitted with a 'Lolos' strainer. The A.S. Mortar Mk. 10 loading equipment Mk 1 S.E.W.11/1959 manufactured by Sheldon's Engineering Works Ltd is on the right. Against the forward bulkhead are two voicepipes and the starter for the A/S mortar hoist motor No. 1. A vertical format negative.
