On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the GDS & ASP (gunnery direction system & automatic surface plot) amplifier compartment between 30 and 31¼ stations on the port side of 1 deck looking to starboard showing a wooden bench with a control unit above it against the forward bulkhead to the left of the compartment door. Against the starboard bulkhead is an electric fire. Against the aft bulkhead are a JDG display with a fire extinguisher above it, a marker interlacing cabinet and a co-ordinate converter unit. A vertical format negative.
