The photographer is in the main signal office between 32½ and 34 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard showing the main telephone switchboard on a wooden bench fitted with drawers under. Two speaking tubes and a microphone are above the centre section of the bench and a stainless steel plate is fitted to the starboard end of the top of the bench. Pigeon hole shelving, a combination safe and a Thermotank air conditioning unit are against the forward bulkhead. A fire extinguisher is by the side of the sliding door and the clock is reading 1.44.
