On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to port from the starboard side at 34 station showing the captain's chair and his visual display unit between two plotting tables. On the left is the signalmen's desk equipped with morse keys, a stateboard, loudspeakers, a speaking tube and a clock reading 4.09. Beyond the door of the room is the wooden desk of the electronic warfare controller and his assistant with switchboards, telephones, morse keys, a radio warfare stateboard, a visual display unit and a JDA display unit in evidence.
