On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the electronics warfare room between 35½ and 38¼ stations on the centreline on 1 deck looking to port from the doorway showing two work desks with a control circuit exchange unit between them against the forward bulkhead. A control circuit exchange unit upper is under the deckhead and a clock is reading 10.14. One work desk is against the aft bulkhead and another is against the port bulkhead. This has a combination safe and a larger safe under it behind the chair. In the centre of the port bulkhead is a communications desk labelled 'Bay No. 2 SHF DF (UA3)' and equipped with an amplifier and display unit, a microphone, a morse key labelled 'spark quench unit design 1-AP.54772A', two rectifier units and a microphone foot push.
