On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the boiler room between 41 and 49 stations on 3 - 4 deck and is said to be at the forward end of the lower platform looking forward. An oil fuel pump is in the foreground. A steel ladder and a wire rope ladder lead up to a circular escape scuttle in the deckhead above. This pump is also shown in negative number N65635. A vertical format negative.
