On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is on the starboard side of 1 deck at 61 station looking forward and slightly to port showing the ship's battle honours plaque and bell against the bulkhead of the Type 262 local maintenance annexe with two ceremonial lighting equipment lockers below them. The vegetable locker, a ladder up to the bofors gun on 01 deck, the beef screen and a ladder up to the radar mast on 02 deck are against the aft superstructure. the funnel has the Red Hand of Ulster logo on it. The brow watchman's desk has a telephone with the receiver laid down and a clock reading 9.55. The 27 feet motor whaler is in its davits beyond the brow. The torpedo and ammunition embarking davit is on the extreme right. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay.
