On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the steering gear compartment between 75 and 80 stations on 3 deck looking forward from the starboard side at 78 station showing the steering engine cage on the left and galvanized shelves on the right. A metal flexible ladder is on the deck. The emergency starter panel for the steering motor is next to a stores cupboard against the forward bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
