On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the sick bay between 58¾ and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking to starboard from the doorway showing a refrigerator on the left with a sterilizer on it and the operating table beyond it. Two swinging cots are close to the starboard side. Against the aft bulkhead are a bedding cupboard with another cupboard above it, and two patient's kit lockers. A clock on the forward bulkhead is reading 3.50.
