On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 41 and 49 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 44 station showing, on the left, the door and hatch to the scullery, a fire hose and nozzle, two fuse panels, the door to the officers' galley, a covered emergency cable stowage and an emergency connection box. On the right are the access doors to the funnel uptakes, a fire main and two breathing apparatus cabinets and hoses. The watertight door at 41 station is closed but not clipped.
