The photographer is in the diesel generator compartment between 6 and 12½ stations on 2 deck looking to starboard and slightly aft from the centreline at 11 station showing the space between the starboard Paxman diesel engine and the aft bulkhead. The door to the compartment is open and the watertight hatch leading down to No. 1 naval store on 3 deck is also open. A first aid cabinet, two fire extinguishers, four Nu-Swift fire extinguisher cartridges, an emergency change over switch and connection box and a starter panel are against the aft bulkhead. The starboard diesel generator set is on the left. A vertical format negative.
