On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Falmouth (1959) alongside the Swan, Hunter & Wigham Richardson Ltd fitting out berth at Wallsend on the River Tyne between 1 and 25 July 1961. The photographer is in the diesel generator compartment between 6 and 12½ stations on 2 deck looking forward from the centreline at 11 station showing the space between the two Paxman diesel engines and generators. A Davey Paxman air compressor is against the forward bulkhead with a covered fire hose basket above it.
