The guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) in the Alexandra Dry Dock at Belfast. She was docked down 25 May 1963 and undocked on 5 June 1963. The photographer is on the floor of the dock looking to starboard showing a close-up view of the port propeller shaft rope guard. The rope guard plate and zinc plate have been removed and a Royal Navy senior rate is taking shaft wear readings using a special tool. A vertical format negative.
