On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) alongside the Harland & Wolff Ltd fitting out berth in the Musgrave Channel, Belfast. The photographer is in the junior rates' dining hall on 1 deck showing ten tables with bench seats. Four small cupboards are against each of the side bulkheads and a framed photograph of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip is on the right. Large air conditioning units are under the deckhead. Sliding doors are at the far end of the hall and a plaque above them reads 'After repair party base'.
