The photographer is in the Seaslug missile quarters position between 167 and 173 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking aft and to port from the door showing the main control console and the two operators chairs. A plaque describes the console as 'Outfit 'N'. Missile quarter officer's console Mark 2 Mod. 0' and it is manufactured by Vickers-Armstrongs (Engineers) Ltd, North East Works, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. An air conditioning unit is under the deckhead.
