On board the guided missile destroyer HMS Kent (1961) in No. 3 Basin in Chatham Dockyard, Kent. The photographer is in the main communications office between 66 and 71 stations on 2 deck looking to port. Six typewriter/teleprinter positions are against the forward bulkhead on the right, the three nearest the port side having radio receiver/transmitter units above them. On the left are six radio receiver or transmitter units and a telephone switchboard. A foam fire extinguisher and a clock reading 10.35 are against the port bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
