The photographer is in the main communications office between 66 and 71 stations on 2 deck looking to port from the centre of the office showing the senior rating's position on the right with a long carriage Imperial 66 typewriter on his desk. A large connection unit is against the port bulkhead on the right. A foam fire extinguisher, two junction boxes, a cable stowage and a clock reading 10.34 are against the port bulkhead on the left. Two receiver units are above desks on the left and two BR1917 manuals are on the nearest desk.
