The photographer is in the conversion machinery room between 31 and 35½ stations on 3 deck looking aft and to starboard from the port side of the compartment showing the 12 volt battery stowage and two motor generators fixed to the deck and a telephone fitted to the pillar. Against the aft bulkhead are the control boards and rectifiers for the motor generators. Against the starboard side of the ship are two large rectifiers and two rectifiers for 20 inch searchlights.
