On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the fitting out berth at the West Cowes shipyard of John Samuel White & Co Ltd. The photographer is on 01 deck looking aft, to starboard and up from the port bridge wing at 30 station showing the Mark 6M director, radar type 277Q aerial on its lattice structure, the foremast, funnel and mainmast. The ANS cheese aerial on the port side of the foremast is for Type 293Q radar, the smaller ATZ cheese aerial for 978 radar is on the starboard side and at the head of the foremast is the HD/DF coil. At the top of the mainmast is the Type 944 radar aerial and at the end of the port yardarm the upper aerial is the AJU1 for CUH/3 and the lower aerial is the AJE1 for CUJ/2.
