On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the communications control room (receiving) (CCR(RX)) between 24¾ and 28 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to port from 25 station showing a bench with an Imperial 66 typewriter on it and an interphone telephone above it. In the corner is a receiver outfit with a cooling fan attached. An FSA(3) unit is in the foreground.
