On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the weapons electrical office between 32½ and 34 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port. A Thermotank air conditioning unit and an electric fire are against the port side of the ship. Against the forward bulkhead are a filing cabinet, a combination safe and a full height cupboard (described as a B.R. cupboard on Admiralty plan reference 000898918 sheet 1 - NMM reference NPD1629). Two desks are against the aft bulkhead and an Olivetti 82 typewriter is on the nearer one. A telephone and a ledger shelf unit are above the desks.
