On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to port and aft from 34 station on the starboard side showing the two electronic warfare control positions being fitted out. Each desk is equipped with a morse key and one of the intercom exchange switch units is in place while the other is in pieces on the desk top. Two fire extinguisher brackets are fitted next to the door but only one extinguisher is in position.
