On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to starboard from near the centreline at 33½ station showing an ARL plotting table on the left. Another ARL plotting table is on the right and it is fitted with a temporary wooden box on top. A fleet disposition board is in the right foreground.
