The Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958). In an unidentified store, possibly No. 1 naval store between 8 and 12½ stations on 3 deck.
On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in an unidentified office/store which is possibly No. 1 naval store between 8 and 12½ stations on 3 deck. A cupboard unit stacked with files and binders is against the ship's side and a vice is fitted to this cupboard. Above the cupboard is a Thermotank air conditioning unit. A ledger rack is against the forward bulkhead and it contains many binders labelled 'Weapons control'. A notice board and an electric fire are also against the forward bulkhead. On the left is a rack containing shelves and a nest of drawers. Hoses, a large sack and a large tin drum are on the deck. It is believed the photographer is looking forward from the starboard side of the store. Negative number N66917 is another view of this area.
