The Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958). In an unidentified office or store, possibly on 1 deck.
On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in a small unidentified office or store, possibly on 1 deck. The space contains two table tops which are resting on nests of filing drawers. On top of the tables are stacks of flourescent light fittings or tubes in boxes and perforated metal rectangular boxes. A Thermotank air conditioning unit is against the bulkhead and two cupboard and ledger units are at high level against the end bulkhead. A double door entrance is on the right and an automatic emergency lantern is next to the door. Negative number N66921 is also in this space and the only clue to the location is the stencilled 1H12 on a vent exhaust under the deckhead.
