On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the hangar between 49 and 57 stations on 1 deck looking forward, to starboard and up from 53 station showing a workbench equipped with two vices and an hydraulic winch is above it. An air conditioning unit is at the end of the workbench. Stairs lead up to the air electrical maintenance room and a first aid cabinet and a step ladder are against the starboard bulkhead.
